Dolores G. (Guerra) Licea, 59, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1 at The Heights of Gonzales in Gonzales, Texas.

Funeral mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas, and will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Stan Fiuk officiating. Cremation Rites will follow. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 5-7 pm at Buffington Funeral Home and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Deacon Alfonso Moreno officiating.

Delores was born on May 20, 1960 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of David and Mary Jane (Casares) Guerra. After graduating high school, Delores started working at the Boothe Chicken Hatchery where she was employed for 13 years. Delores married Enrique Licea, Sr. on Feb. 14, 1983 at home in Gonzales, Texas. She worked at the Gonzales Meat Market serving customers for many years. Delores liked to relax by coloring, and listening to music. She was an avid fan of the TV show, “Law and Order.” She liked sewing blankets for family. Delores had several birds and turtles as pets. She loved playing with her grandchildren. Delores was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Delores is survived by her parents; David and Mary Jane Guerra, her loving husband of 36 years, Enrique, one son; Enrique Licea Jr. and his wife, Yecenia of Luling, Texas, two daughters; Erica Licea of Gonzales, Texas, Esmeralda Julissa and her husband, Jose Lerma of Gonzales, Texas, one brother; Rogelio Guerra and his wife, Vicky of Gonzales, Texas, two sisters; Rita Ann Guerra of Waelder, Texas, Vivian Gallegos and her husband, Eric of Gonzales, Texas, five grandchildren; Danilo Rogers, Mia Licea, Julianna Licea, Zayden Lerma, and Katalina Licea. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Francisco and Andrea Casares, and Jose Ricardo and Maria Guerra.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Licea will be; Enrique Licea Jr., Rogelio Guerra, Jose Lerma, Eric Gallegos, Patricio Licea, and Tommy Deberry.
