Doris Ann Baros

Doris Ann Baros, 85, of Gonzales, Texas was called to be with our Lord on January 12, 2025. Doris was born on December 2, 1939 to Pauline and Leo Wroblesky in Oak Forest, Texas. She was the third of three siblings. Doris graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Art. Doris was a member of St. James Altar Society and St. James Catholic Church.

Doris’ life was defined by her joy of family and passionate faith in Christ. She exhibited a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed sharing her discoveries with others. Doris had a creative spirit portrayed through her extraordinary gifts of drawing and painting. Her gift of art was shared with many which incorporated a personal touch. Doris touched the lives of countless people, which was not a goal, but her calling.

Survivors include daughters Kathryn Baros of Montgomery, Texas, Suzanne Jungmann (Douglas) of Granbury, Texas and son John Baros of Grapevine, Texas; grandsons Michael Meier, Patrick Meier (Kayla), Philip Meier, Mark Jungmann, Matthew Jungmann; and great- grandchild Amren Meier. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Gillette “Bobby” Baros.

The service for Doris will be at St. James Catholic Church on Saturday, January 25, 2025 beginning with visitation at 1:00 pm, the rosary following at 1:30 pm with the memorial mass commencing at 2:00 pm with Fr. Jason Martini as celebrant. Honorary pallbearers: Michael Meier, Mark Jungmann, Patrick Meier, Natthew Jungmann, and Philip Meier. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Gonzales Public Library or the charity of one’s choice.
