Drop-off today and Thursday at Independence Park for Little League forms

The Gonzales Little League will hold a drop-off for registration forms from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4 at Independence Park, which is located off Highway 183 near the Highway 97 junction.

Registration forms are available on the league’s Facebook page (Gonzales Little League), the national Little League International web site (www.littleleague.org, then go under “Menu” to “Forms and Publications), at the Gonzales Inquirer web site (www.gonzalesinquirer.com;search “Little League”), and at the Gonzales Inquirer office, 622 St. Paul St.

The league announced that age breakdowns will be ages 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12. In additional, the league will let children play T-Ball starting at age 4.

The league has not yet released information about umpires.

In addition, neither league treasurer nor the Facebook messenger used by the league have respodened to The Inquirer's multiple requests for comment on the Gonzales City Council’s requirement that the league provide its financial records before being permitted to use the city-owned fields at Independence Park.
