Eduardo Ruiz Perez

Eduardo Ruiz Perez, 79, of Gonzales, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021. Eduardo was born July 4, 1942, in Durango, Mexico to Abelardo Perez and Diega Ruiz Perez. He married Rosa Maria Gonzales in July of 1963 in Rio Bravo, Mexico. Eduardo was a member of Iglesias Bautista Memorial Church in Waelder where he loved to sing hymns.

Eduardo was a hard-working man who never complained about the long hours he worked. He worked in many different jobs in the field of agriculture. Having worked many years for Mr. Jones as well as Graham Cattle Company where he finally retired. Three weeks after his retirement he went back to work at Cal Maine finally retiring this last December.

Eduardo was a loving husband to Rosa, the love of his life. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He cherished the holidays and all other times his family would get together.

Eduardo Ruiz Perez is survived by his daughters and sons-in-laws: Guadalupe Briseno (Martin) of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Barbara Perez (Dennis Rodriguez), Teresa Clack (Gary), all of Gonzales; sons and daughters-in-laws: George Perez (Betty), and Alex Gonzales (Velia) all of Gonzales; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son: John Manuel Perez; daughter-in-law: Laura Suzzanne Perez; and granddaughter: Kimberly Ann Perez.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021, in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Ramon Rivera and Rev. Juan Ruiz officiating. Interment will follow in Gonzales Memorial Park.
