Edwards Association hosts drive-thru barbecue meal on Saturday, Jan. 30

While the Edwards Association was unable to host its large luncheon following its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day activities, it is taking a different route to offer the community a meal.

A drive-thru pickup event will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, and feature a barbecue plate made by local pit masters. Attendees may enter from the southeast gate at the back side of the gym, beginning at 12 p.m.

For those who need a ride through the plate pickup, Come and Take You ride service is offering a free trip. Contact (830) 534-4336 to arrange for one. The Association has indicated that texting the service is preferred.

The Association will also be collecting donations of canned goods for Gonzales Christian Assistance Ministries and socks for residents in assisted living.
