Ellen Melissa (Webb) Laging

On March 25, 2023, Ellen Melissa (Webb) Laging of Smiley, Texas passed away into the arms of Jesus, free from pain and severe sickness. Ellen was born on March 4, 1958 in Cuero, Texas to Hugo Morris Webb, Sr. and Agnes Inez (West) Webb. Ellen married Michael Laging on April 16, 1987 in Gonzales, Texas. 

Ellen is preceded in death by her father, Hugo Webb; brothers, Morris Webb, and Delbert Webb; niece, Amber Webb; and father-in-law, James Laging. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 35 years, Michael Laging; children, Cody Smith (Dorina), Matthew Lesperance, and Cole Laging; mother, Inez Webb; grandchildren, Calista Smith, Avery Smith, Hazel Smith, Tyler Lesperance, and Abigail Lesperance; siblings, Karen Lohse, and John Webb (Lisa); mother-in-law, Jeanette Laging; siblings-in-law, Tommy Laging, Kathy Formolo, Patricia Henson, and Glenda Wilke.

On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, a visitation will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, with the funeral service to begin at 12:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas.
