FCCLA Community service

Posted

Students from the Gonzales High School FCCLA met with Congressman Michael Cloud at the Gonzales Rotary Club, where they gave information about a community service project they have undertaken. FCCLA has teamed up with FUNDrive to collect gently used clothes and linens and they will compensated for the donations they collect. The girls plan to give a portion of their profits to the local Rainbow Room, which serves area foster families. Team members included Caleigh Boscamp, Greta Lekgega and Macey Pena. The group will be competing with other FCCLA members in Corpus Christi during the regional conference in January to determine who best served their community. To make a donation of gently used clothes, please put them in a trash bag and drop them off at the receptacle at Gonzales High School before Oct. 22.
