First Shot Fly-in comes to Roger M Dreyer Airport this Saturday

The First Shot Fly-in, at the Roger M Dreyer Memorial Airport (T20), is happening this Saturday, Oct 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For those interested, the event will be held at Latitude: 29-31-44.8450N, Longitude: 097-27-51.4900W, Elevation: 354, and Fuel: 100LL and CTAF: 122.9.

This event will have hamburgers, antique cars, as well as other static displays, to compliment the dynamic action of the incoming planes.

A fly-in consists of a gathering (organized and prearranged) of aircrafts, pilots and passengers, for the purpose of recreational and social gathering and enjoying the activity of flying, in a group environment.

There are currently, as of 2021, just under 735,000 pilots, including civilians and military, in the United States, with eight pilots and four other airmen currently in Gonzales County.
