GEDC seeks input from public on retail needs

The Gonzales Economic Development Corporation wants your input on retail needs and wants in our area. Now through February 20, GEDC will be conducting a survey in partnership with a consulting firm, Retail Strategies.

The survey should only take 15 to 30 minutes to complete. The survey starts with questions that allow GEDC to understand you and your role as a stakeholder in the development of the community.

There is also a series of questions about your vision regarding retail growth along with potential buildings and land for development. GEDC has no plans to share your information with anyone outside their organization, however they are subject to open records. If GEDC gets a Freedom of Information request, they will redact the information they are allowed to redact.

It’s okay if you don’t know the answers to some of the questions; feel free to put, “I don’t know.” Part of the purpose of the survey is so GEDC can gauge where they, as an organization, can improve internal and external communication regarding retail development.
