Gonzales City Council to consider budget, GEDC agreement

The Gonzales City Council has a full agenda on its plate for its 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, regular council meeting at the Gonzales Municipal Building, 820 St. Joseph St., Gonzales.
The council will review and consider the budgets for the City of Gonzales and the Gonzales Economic Development Corporation as well as consider approving the 2021 ad valorem tax rate.
Also on the agenda is a resolution to approve an economic development project funding agreement between the city and GEDC to be dated Sept. 15 regarding J.B. Wells Park. The item is related to the city’s settlement of a lawsuit by the Presbyterian Seminary of Austin regarding the J.B. Wells estate.
