Gonzales County COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

Posted

Gonzales Healthcare Systems, in coordination with city and county officials and first responders have created and prepared a Vaccination Plan for Gonzales County. The COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held at the J.B Wells expo on a date still to be determined. On each clinic day, approximately 500 people will be vaccinated.

Once Gonzales Healthcare Systems receives a large enough allocation of vaccines, the clinic dates will be set. In the meantime, Gonzales Healthcare Systems is providing information to prepare citizens. The clinics will be by appointments only, to anyone ages 65 and older or 18 and older with at least one chronic medical condition such as diabetes or a heart condition. On the day of their appointments, patients will need to bring their driver’s license. Registration for the clinics will be online and the link will be found on the Gonzales County Emergency Management website. Registration will not begin until Gonzales receives vaccines and sets a date, so keep watching for more updates and information on the Gonzales Healthcare Systems website and Facebook page, County Judge’s website and Facebook page, and Gonzales County Emergency Management website and Facebook page. Once registration is available, patients will be able to register for a clinic day, and to print off the two required forms from the registration page or one of the websites listed above. Paper copies will also be available at the Tax office, City office and the Courthouse. These forms (Immunization Registry and the Disaster Consent) will need to be completed by patients and brought with them to the appointment. Vaccination appointments will take approximately 30 minutes.

Registration and clinic dates are not available at this time. More updates will be given as they become available through the websites and social media outlets listed above.
