Gonzales County looking for help recovering stolen items

The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office is looking for tips and help in finding stolen guns and tools and stolen vehicles in two separate cases.

On Friday, Sept. 2, or in the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 2, someone broke into a truck parked at a private residence in the area of County Road 350 and Farm-to-Market Road 532. The person took a lever-action .22-caliber rifle and a black 1911 .45 ACP from the truck.

Also taken were some tools from a garage shed also located on the property. The person also took a dark green 2003 Yamaha Grizzly 4x4 with a custom barbed wire rack holder mounted on the back, and a rifle rack mounted on the front.

Meanwhile, on Monday, Aug. 29, the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an address on County Road 206 for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported his 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS coupe was stolen sometime within the last five days. The Impala is black in color with a grey interior. Investigators did recover evidence and are actively pursuing leads.
