Gonzales County is on Severe Thunderstorm Watch through 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 11.
The announcement came from the National Weather Service at 4:18 p.m.
"Strong to severe storms are possible again today and tonight with large hail and damaging winds being the primary hazards," according to the announcement. "An isolated tornado is also possible. Additionally, locally heavy rainfall is possible today and tonight, which could result in localized flooding over areas that may have recently seen soils become saturated."
This watch only extends through Tuesday evening. The NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook is clear Wednesday, May 12, through Monday, May 17.
