Gonzales cross country runners earn All-District honors

The Gonzales varsity cross country took home All-District honors early this week.
The Gonzales Apaches varsity team finished their season as district runner-ups.
Freshman Homero Ruiz is the District Champion for Varsity Boys, earning District MVP
Finishing in the top 10, medaling and earning First Team All District Honors were sophomore Carlos Pedraza, sixth place, and junior Ckristofer Ramos, finishing eighth place (also Academic All-District)
Finishing in the top 15, medaling and earning Second Team All District Honors:
Diego Leon - 12th place (academic all district), Cain Cardoza-21st, Christopher Gonzalez -22nd - (Academic All District) and Alex Martinez- 28th (Academic All District)
The Lady Apache Varsity Girls finished third and qualified for regional for the 2024 season.
Top 10 Medaling and Earning First Team All District Honors were Sophomore Jordyn Gonzales - 5th place, Senior Yaritza Angel - 6th place and Senior Kaylie Ramirez 9th
Top 15 Medaling and earning Second Team All District Honors was Freshman Khloe Granados 14th
Finishing in the top 20 and earning Honorable Mention were Freshman Sophia Castro 19th and Sophomore Jaelynn Ramos 20th

Viviana Barrientos- 21st, Kilee Bairrington - JV third and Angie Palacios - JV 10th
