The Gonzales City Council gave a hard deadline for the Gonzales Little League to share an appropriate financial report and proof of insurance at their meeting on Thursday, April 8.
Having received a report of financials from the Little League, the council decided tothat the documents were not sufficient and will require the league to share a complete financial report and proof of insurance by Thursday, April 15, in order to execute an agreement license for use of the city’s little league fields.
The council also directed City Manager Tim Patek to open the city’s pool in June, and made appointments to the city’s Council District Redistricting Commission.
Each council member made an appointment from their district to the Commission, which will help determine whether the council district boundaries need to be adjusted based on 2020 Census data. This commission will be working with the firm Denton, Navarro, Rocha, Bernal, & Zech PC as well as Doucet & Associates for the purpose of redistricting.
