A Gonzales man is among seven still missing as a result of the Seacor Power capsize.

Jay Guevara, of Gonzales, was working for Seacor Power on a lift boat when it capsized in the Gulf of Mexico on Monday, April 12, according to ABC affiliate KATC.

The Coast Guard suspended its search on Monday, April 19, but private and volunteer search crews continue to comb the area looking for the remaining missing men, as reported by the Associated Press.

The lift boat capsized around eight miles off the Louisiana coast, with 19 people on board according to the AP. On day one, six had been rescued, and six bodies have been recovered by divers.

Lift boats are used in the oil industry, with legs that can extend to the seafloor to serve as a temporary platform, according to the AP.
