Gonzales trash pick up resumes Friday

Posted

According to a statement from Gonzales City Manager Tim Patek, Gonzales residents should expect trash pickup delayed due to severe weather to be picked up beginning Friday, Feb. 19.

Recycling pickup will start back up on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

"I would like to inform all City of Gonzales residents to please place your trash cart out to the curb," Patek wrote in a statement. "Frontier Waste Solutions will be servicing our City on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of this week to catch up on trash service.  Recycling will begin next Wednesday. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Patek also asked that once temperatures are above freezing, residents should check their homes for any water leaks.

"I would also like to inform all City of Gonzales residents that once we are out of this Winter Storm and temperatures get above freezing for a 24 hour period, please turn your faucets off and check in your house, under your house and around your house for any water leaks," Patek wrote. "This will help City crews in repairs to our system and sustain our water levels throughout the City."
