Gregory Scott Pagel

Gregory Scott Pagel, 56, of Gonzales, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.  Greg was born Sept. 23, 1964 in Gonzales to Byron Joe Pagel and Bobbie Nell Christian Pagel. 

Greg deeply loved his family and friends. He enjoyed trail rides, working with his horses, dancing and socializing with friends. He loved to cook, and he was a fun-loving people person. Greg enjoyed his space in the country and loved watching the quiet beauty of nature. His relationship with the Lord was personal and celebrated daily in the realm of the outdoors.    

Greg is survived by his family, brother, Byron Keith Pagel of Gonzales, nieces, Kaitlin Pagel of Wethersfield, Ct., and Taryn Pagel of Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Matt Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Saturn Community Cemetery. Pallbearers: Thomas Perkins, Daniel Tomas, Roy Staton, Gene Dreyer, Gary Machacek, Al Michalec, Ricky Bazan and Keith Pagel. Honorary Pallbearers:  Ronnie Brzozowski, Jim Pierce, Randy Pratt, Daniel Klapuch, and James Whitted. Memorials may be made to Saturn Community Cemetery. Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, chapel service and graveside burial rite.  Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend. Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
