Harwood Community Garage Sale May 1

The Harwood Community Center will resume hosting its annual community garage sale on Saturday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Space will be available both inside and outside of the building at no charge. Breakfast and lunch items will be sold by the community center, which will also be holding a bake sale.

Those interested in reserving a place inside the building may contact Marjorie Fairchild at 830-540-4212. Outdoor spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The buildings now known as the Harwood Community Center were once the Harwood High School and Elementary School, which were consolidated with the Gonzales Independent School District in the 1950s.

Harwood Community Center has sustained itself over the past 65 years on donations, fundraisers, and building use donations. Due to the pandemic, these sources of income have been scarce, while the need for building upkeep continues.
