To honor the Immortal 32, the Gonzales residents who stood in defense of the Alamo on March 6, 1836, the city of Gonzales hosted a performance called, "Story of Our Heroes: The Immortal 32," at the Gonzales Memorial Museum.

On the morning of the 185th anniversary of the battle, Saturday, March 6, members of the Young Texians of the Crystal Theater, led by Director Barbara Crozier, gave a performance in which they read letters written from the point of view of Immortal 32 members and their families. Opening comments regarding the history of the occasion were given by Mayor Connie Kacir.
