Jerry Wayne Edwards

Jerry Wayne Edwards passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 77.  He was born on May 16, 1947 in Luling, TX.  He grew up in Gonzales, TX.  Jerry was the son of O.B. Edwards, Jr. and Lenore Burnett Holtkamp.  

He worked in the HVAC sales & service industry for most of his working life.  He also spent many years as a volunteer firefighter for the Luling Volunteer Fire Dept.  Over the years, he enjoyed hunting trips to Colorado with his friends and taking vacations with his wife, Frances Kay.  Jerry married Frances Kay, the love of his life, on February 18, 1966. 

Jerry is survived by daughter, Manell Lynn Martin and her husband Randy; daughter Tammy Edwards (Jeremy Leal); and daughter Jerri Dawn Hellums; sister Terry Jane Voges (Larry); great aunts Bitsy Johnson and Carolyn Grau (Jim).  He has 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Kay; his parents, a brother and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be Friday, December 6 at 4:00 p.m. at Harwood Baptist Church in Harwood, TX.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Harwood Baptist Church.
