Jessalyn Renee Nowotny Conry

Jessalyn Renee Nowotny Conry, 23, of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and formerly of Gonzales, passed away Tuesday September 30, 2025.  She was born June 12, 2002 in Seguin the daughter of Alan Nowotny and Mary Quintero. She graduated with the Class of 2020 at Shiner High School and attended Blinn College from 2020 until 2023. She completed Basic Training with the United States Marine Corps in 2023, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. She married James Conry November 11, 2023.

Jessalyn was very intelligent and determined, she excelled in high school, a member of the Shiner High School Band, 4-H, was a member of the Honor Society in both her junior and senior year, and later USMC Basic Training. She was fearless, adventurous and feared nothing. Sweet and sassy, comical, she had a heart of gold and was very loving and caring.  She was a bit of a diva and had just started a career in modeling.

Her many hobbies included baking, cooking, planting flowers, reading, sewing, crocheting and photography.  She especially loved the beach, fishing and any activity on the water.  Also caring and playing with her dogs Roo and Dixie.

She is survived by her husband James Conry; parents Alan and Mary; brothers Tyler Dane Nowotny (Jessica), Dalton Alan Nowotny (Breanne) and Ryan Cole Nowotny; Maternal Grandparents Nancy and Silverio Rocha; Paternal Grandmother Betty Nowotny; Nieces Jayden Dane Nowotny and Karsyn Rose Nowotny and Nephews Kase Alan Nowotny and Preston Wade Nowotny.

She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandfather Ivan Nowotny and Maternal Great-Grandparents Thomas and Irene Chavarria, nephew Hudson Scott Nowotny, uncle Joseph Andrew Quintero and aunt Shari Tate.

Visitation will be held 9 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church with the Rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m.  The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. James with Reverend Paul Raaz officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hermann Sons Cemetery. Pallbearers include Justin Conry, Josh Conry, Jeremy Rocha, Aaren Rocha, Aydrean Rocha, Robert Corona, Dawson Roy and Kyle Krum.
