Jesusa “Susie” Mendez, 67, of Nixon, Texas passed away on April 2, 2021 in Seguin, Texas. Susie was born on Feb. 1, 1954 in Bebe, Texas, one of 14 children born to Anselmo DeLeon, Sr. and Juanita “Baldibino” DeLeon who precede her in death along with six of her brothers, one sister, and her husband Adolfo Mendez, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Adolfo Mendez, Jr. (Lisa) and Mark Mendez (Jeanne); daughters, Rachel Fatheree, Jessica Mendez, and Angela Mendez (Matthew Martinez); grandchildren, Amber Mendez, Treon Fatheree, Trevon Fatheree, Da’Marris Kinney, Natalee Mendez, and Isaac Mendez; great-grandson, Jace Ray Mendez; brothers, Victor DeLeon, Jesus DeLeon, Ramiro DeLeon; sisters, Juanita Mendez (Santiago), Maria Garza (Geronimo), Adelita DeLeon, Rosa Trigo, Lupe Guerra (Robert), Pina DeLeon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and many friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the Rosary at 7 p.m., at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas.
