John "Johnny" Alois Kuntschik

John "Johnny" Alois Kuntschik, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 in Round Rock, Texas.

John was born on Jan. 8, 1934 to John Arthur Kuntschik and Emilie (Millie) Simersky Kuntschik in Gonzales County, Texas. He graduated from Gonzales High School in 1950 at the age of 16. He was a proud member of the Army National Guard. He was an active member of Abiding Love Lutheran Church for 40 years where he and Joyce were blessed to have many friends.

John was above all a family man. He loved his family and would do anything for them. John, Daddy, Popo, Papa John you are loved by many and will be dearly missed.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Jeffrey Kuntschik and daughter-in-law Gail Frey Kuntschik.

John is survived by his wife Joyce Randolph Kuntschik of Austin, Texas; Sister Leona (Raymond) Zella of Gonzales, Texas; Daughters Penny Kuntschik Brock of Pflugerville, Texas and Judy (Olan) Kelley of Highland Haven, Texas; Son Darryl Kuntschik, of Kingsland, Texas; Grandchildren; Patrick (Hillary) Brock, Sr., Natalie Brock, Dana Kuntschik, Hailey Kuntschik, Kel (Kastle) Kelley, and Stephen Kelley. Great-grandchildren: Patrick Brock, Jr., Payton Brock, Wyatt Kelley, Ronan Kelley, Alyssa Marak and Dakota Marak plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and life long friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, Dec. 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Garden in Austin, Texas. Due to the current environment a private family funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers are Patrick Brock Sr., Patrick Brock Jr., Kel Kelley, Stephen Kelley, Raymie Zella, Greg Kuntschik and Todd Lehnert. Honorary pallbearers are Payton Brock, Wyatt and Ronan Kelley, and Alyssa and Dakota Marak. Memorial contributions may be made to Abiding Love Lutheran Church, 7210 Brush Country Road, Austin, Texas 78749 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
