Joyce Marie Fosselman, 84, of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. She was born November 15, 1937 in Waelder, Texas the daughter of Delmar and Molly Frederick Fogle. She graduated from Gonzales High School. She was the manager of the automotive department at Walmart in Bastrop and retired after 23 years of service.
She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR and University of Texas Longhorn football. Her favorite hobbies included fishing, watching deer and nature, collecting frog figurines, tending to her plants and especially caring for her cats and was known to take in many strays throughout the years. Most of all she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by Billy Hargraves of Smithville; daughter Trudy (Fosselman) Luce and husband Eric of Corpus Christi; granddaughters Elisha Diane Macfarlane of Houston and Erica Marie Kozelski of Corpus Christi; great-grandchildren Conner Macfarlane, Matthew Kozelski, Freya Kozelski and Wyett Kozelski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Delmar Fogle, Jr., Jesse Fogle and Wain Fogle.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date with interment at the Saturn Community Cemetery.
