Karen Ann Conant

Karen Ann Conant, 64, of Lockhart, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019. She was born December 31, 1954 in San Antonio, the daughter of Irvin Mack DuBose and Doris Edith Peters DuBose. She was a graduate of Gonzales High School Class of 1973. She attended Durham Business College in Austin. She married Vincent Conant on October 27, 1974 in San Marcos. She worked with Mazda in Houston for 18 years and later was in business administration with LCRA for the past 15 years. Karen was a very caring and loyal friend to many. She enjoyed visiting friends and was always there for them. She was quite the shopper and along with her mother would visit every antique shop in the area. Karen and Vincent loved traveling and visited Japan, Ireland, Italy, Canada and the Caribbean. She was a pet lover especially her beloved dogs Opie and Andy. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Vincent Conant of Lockhart; sister Paula Meneley of Harwood; brothers: Donald M. DuBose and wife Annie Fay of Harwood and Bruce DuBose and wife Fay of Gonzales. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Reverend Lynn Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery.
