The Gonzales Lady Apaches basketball team played their 2024-25 season opener against the Bandera Lady Bulldogs Friday, Nov. 1.
The Lady Apaches fell to the Lady Bulldogs, 59-38, in the first game of the season.
Senior Bella Aguero scored 25 points against Bandera; 15 of those points came from free throws as Aguero went 15-of-18 at the charity stripe.
Senior Kilee Schwausch recorded nine rebounds against Bandera; and Aguero led the team with eight steals.
The Lady Apaches hosted back-to-back games at home; Gonzales faced Elgin Tuesday, Nov. 5, and will host Kyle Lehman Friday, Nov. 8.
Gonzales next week will go on the road to take on Hallettsville (Tuesday, Nov. 12) and Nixon-Smiley (Friday, Nov. 15).
