Lady Apaches fall to Weimar in three

The Gonzales Lady Apaches hit the road Friday, Sept. 6 for a match against the Weimar Lady Wildcats.

The Lady Apaches fell to the Lady Wildcats in three sets (12-25, 22-25, 14-25).

Gonzales made a game of it in the third set with both teams at 20-plus points, but Weimar would win the set, 25-22 and go on to win the match.

The Lady Apaches traveled to Victoria Tuesday, Sept. 10 for a non-district match against the St. Joseph Lady Flyers.

Gonzales will return home for a intra-county match against the Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs Friday, Sept. 13.

The Lady Apaches will have a bye Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Friday, Sept. 20; and will hit back on the road for their last non-district game against Karnes City Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Gonzales will open district play in La Vernia Friday, Sept. 27.
