The Gonzales Lady Apaches and Nixon-Smiley Mustangs squared off for the second time Friday, Sept. 13 at the Apache Gym in Gonzales.

The Lady Apaches and Lady Mustangs met earlier this season at the Cuero tournament; Gonzales beat Nixon-Smiley in their tournament match.

Gonzales and Nixon-Smiley met for the final time last Friday in the 2024 volleyball season. The Lady Apaches swept the Lady Mustangs in three sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-14).

The Lady Apaches will travel to Karnes City Tuesday, Sept. 24 for their last non-district match of the season; Gonzales will open district play on the road against the 21st-ranked La Vernia Lady Bears Friday, Sept. 27.

The Lady Mustangs will travel to Marion for their final road non-district match against the Lady Bulldogs Friday, Sept. 20 and will host Runge for their final home non-district Tuesday, Sept. 24; Nixon-Smiley will open up district play against rival Stockdale on the road Friday, Sept. 27.

The Marion game starts at 7 p.m for the Lady Mustangs.

The Karnes City game starts at 6:15 p.m. for the Lady Apaches.
