Lady Mustangs earn first win against Natalia in OT

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs traveled on the road for their second basketball game against Natalia Saturday, Nov. 9.

The Lady Mustangs earned their first win of the 2024 season with a 59-56 overtime win over Natalia.

Both teams were neck-and-neck in the game and evenly matched; both teams recorded two double-digit quarters and two single-digit quarters before going into overtime.

The Lady Mustangs outscored Natalia in overtime by three points to secure the win.

The Lady Mustangs hosted Falls City Tuesday, Nov. 12 for their second home game of the season; Nixon-Smiley fell to the Poteet Lady Aggies, 38-36, in the season opener Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The Lady Mustangs will host the Gonzales Lady Apaches Friday, Nov. 15.
