Lady Mustangs fall to Poth in district opener

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs open up district play against the Poth Lady Pirates Friday, Jan. 3 on the road.

The Lady Mustangs fell to Poth, 61-39, in the district opener.

Senior Madison Yanes recorded 10 points and seven rebounds in the Poth game.

Four Lady Mustangs led the teams with two assists and two steals.

The Lady Mustangs hosted the Goliad Lady Tigers Tuesday, Jan. 7 and went back on the road for a match against Stockdale Friday, Jan. 10.

The Stockdale game tips off at 6:30 p.m.
