The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office made 11 arrests from Sunday, April 11 to Saturday, April 17:

  • On Sunday, April 11, an Alief, TX resident was arrested in the execution of a Harris County warrant for continuous violence against family. They were released on $10,000 bond.
  • A Gonzales resident was arrested Sunday, April 11 in the execution of a local warrant for theft of property greater than $100 in value but less than $750 in value. They were released on $4,500 bond.
  • On Sunday, April 11, a San Marcos resident was arrested in the execution of four Caldwell County warrants. These warrants carried charged of possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1 greater than 4g but less than 200g, possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 2 greater than 1g but less than 4g, possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 3 less than 28g, and possession of marijuana less than 2 oz. They were released on total bond of $24,000.
  • A Gonzales resident was arrested on Wednesday, April 14, in the execution of a Jackson County warrant carrying a charge of possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1g. They remain in custody.
  • On Wedesday, April 14, a Lockhart resident was arrested in the execution of two local warrants for criminal mischief between $100 and $750 in value. One of these warrants, with a bond of $2,000, was recalled. The warrant which was not recalled requires a bond of $15,000. They remain in custody.
  • An Austin resident was arrested Thursday, April 15, on one charge of aggravated robbery. They were released on $20,000 bond.

On Thursday, April 15, a San Marcos resident was arrested in the execution of two Hays County warrants, one for unauthorized use of a vehicle and the other for aggravated robbery. These charges require a total bond of $14,500. They remain in custody.

  • A Pflugerville resident was arrested in the execution of a local warrant for unauthorized use of a vehicle. The charge requires a $10,000 bond and they remain in custody.
  • On Thursday, April 15, a Gonzales resident was arrested on one charge of assault family or household member impede breathing or circulation and one charge of unlawful restraint. These Charges require a total $10,000 bond. They remain in custody.
  • A Nixon resident was arrested On Friday, April 16 in the execution of a local warrant for assault family or household member with previous conviction. They remain in custody on $30,000 bond.
  • On Friday, April 16, a Nixon resident was arrested in the execution of a local warrant for resisting arrest, search or transport. This charge requires a $20,000 bond and they remain in custody.

Gonzales Police Department

The Gonzales Police Department made four arrests from Monday, April 12 to Sunday, April 18:

  • On Monday, April 12, a 41-year-old from Columbus, TX, was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
  • A 33-year-old from Gonzales was arrested on Wednesday, April 14, on one charge on injury to an elderly person with intent bodily injury.
  • On Wednesday, April 14, a 39-year-old Gonzales resident was arrested for evading arrest or detention on foot with previous conviction, resist arrest search or transport and interfere with public duties.
  • A 41-year-old from Gonzales was arrested on Sunday, April 18 for stalking.

During this time, GPD responded to 294 calls for service and 25 traffic violations, as well as:

  • One case Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger
  • One case criminal mischief
  • One case assault 
  • One case driving while intoxicated
  • One case kidnapping
  • One case evading arrest or detention on foot with previous conviction
  • One case resist arrest search or transport
  • One case interfere with public duties
  • One case unauthorized use of motor vehicle
  • One case forgery
  • Two cases assault family violence
  • One case possession of marijuana
  • One case assault causing bodily injury
