Lloyd Perry, Jr., Age 78 of Seguin, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2025. Lloyd was born on January 8, 1947 in Leesville, Texas to O’Joy Marie (Kiser) and Lloyd Perry, Sr.
Lloyd was a 1965 graduate of Nixon High School in Nixon, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received two Bronze Stars and the National Defense Service Medal as well as several other awards for his dedication and service to his country. Lloyd retired as a locomotive engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad. Upon retirement Lloyd enjoyed traveling, camping and gardening.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, and his mother-in-law and his father-in-law, Dorothy and Leo Garber.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Garber Perry; sister, Becky Perry Weston and husband Robert; brother-in-law, Billy Dale Garber and wife Virginia; nephews, Danny Garber, and Dwain Garber and wife Jana; his beloved dog, Max; several great nephews, great nieces, numerous cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 2 p m. at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin, with Jimmy Kennedy officiating. A reception will be announced.
