Lowell Emmett Ivey “Bitty

Lowell Emmett Ivey “Bitty,” 76 years of age, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Lowell was born November 10, 1948, in Gonzales, Texas, to Mervin and Opal Lea Ivey.

Lowell served in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 and married Roxanne Heiman in 1977.

Bitty loved his family, telling stories, and messing with the kids. He made a simple road trip into an adventure. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne; daughters, Stephanie Stites and Jennifer Coleman; his son, who preceded him in death, Lowell Ivey Jr. “Little Bit”; brothers, William Ivey and wife Teresa, and Jackie Ivey and wife Debbie; sister, Carol Zerka; grandchildren, Haley Ivey, Jason Rossi, Cutter, and Joey (Cricket) Coleman; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Neo, and Tate Rios; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Ivey Hill Cemetery, 7974 State Hwy 97 East, Bebe, Texas 78614. A reception will be held at Oak Valley Baptist Church following the service.
