Main Street accepts wooden Christmas cutouts

Posted

Christmas came early for the Gonzales Main Street advisory board. The board accepted wooden Christmas cutouts from Sarah Tenberg at its meeting June 25. The wooden decorations feature a head hole for pictures and will be place around Texas Heroes Square in Gonzales.

“They’re really cute and are a great photo op for kids and adults alike,” Barbara Friedrich, Gonzales Main Street Administrator, said.

Volunteers are needed to help clean-up and paint the decorations. If interested contact Friedrich at 830-672-2815.

Other news from the meeting:

  • Reports on the Concert Series and Star Spangled Spectacular 2019 were read.
  • Committee meetings for Sisters on the Fly, Happy Fall Y’all and Winterfest were set.
  • No action was taken on downtown Christmas decorations, Design Committee, Organizations Committee or Economic Vitality Committee.
