Manuel G. Sepulveda, 74, of Gonzales, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022.  He was born July 18, 1948 in Gonzales the son of Joe Sepulveda, Sr. and Guadalupe Gonzales.  

Our father was a hard working truck driver for over 40 plus years. He traveled many miles up and down these Texas highways. He was an amazing provider for his family.

Not only was he a dedicated father & Popo he was an awesome cook! All of the family has so many wonderful memories of him whipping up their favorite meals. From turkey & dressing to menudo.
His all time favorite vacation spot was the beach! We all know he is sitting on the beach with his toes in the sand in Heaven watching over us all.

Manuel was loved by so many. He will be greatly missed by all. He was the Dad he didn’t have to be.

He is survived by his daughters Janet Mendez, Melissa Martinez and husband Mark and Shannon Sepulveda all of Gonzales; son Frank Mendez and wife Natalie of Gonzales; sister Patsy Garcia and husband Ruben of Gonzales; brothers Henry Sepulveda and wife Delia of Victoria and Ruben Sepulveda of Gonzales. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Joe Sepulveda, Jr. and John Sepulveda and sister Gloria Gonzales.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 10 with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Jason Martini officiating.  Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Anastacio Carrizales IV, Isaac Longoria, Dwight Malatek, Kyle Rivera, Ino Sepulveda and Roddy Gonzales.  Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren Baby Mark, Miranda, Heavenly, Meridian, Madison, Macy, Gracie, Anastasia and Anessa.
