Mary Leona Rabel

Mary Leona Rabel, 77, of Harwood, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, in Gonzales, Texas surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 12, 1945, in Shiner, Texas to Jim and Bertina Broz.

Mary had a love for animals, she loved her many dogs over the years and her cat Colony. She loved feeding hummingbirds and stray animals. Mary enjoyed puttering around with her plants and cactuses. But, most of all she enjoyed going shopping with her daughter and going to thrift stores.

Mary is survived by her husband Vernon Rabel of Harwood, and daughter Judy Rabel of Houston, her sisters Lillie Mansfield of Cuero, Janie Rollins (Ronnie) of Columbus, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Jimmy Broz, Michael Broz, and Richard Broz.

She was deeply compassionate for others and will be deeply missed by those who knew her, she will never be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
