Miguel “Mike” Villasana Sr. entered eternal rest on Nov. 17, at the age of 95. He was born June 16, 1924, in Pandora, Texas, to Jose Maria Villasana and Maria Louisa Obrego Villasana.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cecilia Peña Villasana; two sons: Robert Villasana and Miguel “Mike” Villasana Jr.; an infant daughter, Rosa Linda Villasana; brothers: Juan Villasana and Linardo Villasana; and a sister, Manuela Alvarez.

He is survived by sons: Ellis Villasana, Fred Villasana and wife Rose, Rudy Villasana and wife Debbie and Louis Villasana; daughters: Oralia Rosales and husband Hector, Rosa Linda Casas, and Cindy Villasana; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, two great-great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 5-8 p.m., at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church in Smiley with Father Ouseph Kuriakose officiating. Burial will follow at Smiley Latin American Cemetery.
