Gonzales police are continuing to search for a 12-year-old girl who may have run away from home and gotten into an unknown vehicle with an unknown subject early Saturday morning.

GPD Lt. Jason Montoya said an Amber Alert was issued for Allyanna Hernandez, who last seen at midnight Saturday, April 1, in the 1600 block of Saint Vincent Street in Gonzales walking on foot. It is believed she met up with an unknown individual and left in that person’s vehicle. Police are trying to find more information about who that individual is and the type of vehicle they were driving.

Hernandez is described as a white female standing five feet tall, weighing 90 pounds, with blonde hair, brown eyes and was last known to be wearing glasses, a white blouse, bell bottom blue jeans and white shoes. She may have left Gonzales County already and could possibly be headed in a northern direction.

The child is considered a runaway at this point, but it is unknown whether she remains away from her family of her own volition at this time. The Amber Alert was issued because law enforcement officials believe her to be in grave or immediate danger.

Anyone with information that could help return Allyanna to her family is urged to contact the Gonzales Police Department at 830-672-8686.
