Missing Gonzales girl found safe in Tarrant County

A missing 12-year-old Gonzales girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been found safely Monday, April 3, in Tarrant County — more than 48 hours after she first ran away from home.

Allyanna Marie Hernandez was located at a residence by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and will now be returned to her mother.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Guillermo Flores of Mansfield has been taken into custody for questioning in regards to the incident, which began when Allyanna went missing sometime after midnight Saturday, April 1. He has been charged with harboring a runaway and other charges could be pending as this is still an active investigation.

“Gonzales Police Department would like to thank the Texas Department of Public Safety Amber Alert Fusion Center, Texas Rangers, FBI, Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, The National Missing and Exploited Children and Dallas Police Department for their assistance,” Gonzales Police Lt. Jason Montoya said. “We would also like to thank everyone who called in with information regarding this child.”

An Amber Alert was issued at 1:45 p.m. Monday, April 3, for Hernandez, who was believed to have run away from home and was last seen at midnight Saturday, April 1, in the 1600 block of Saint Vincent Street in Gonzales walking on foot. Police believed she met up with Flores and left in his vehicle.
