Mustangs fall to Cowboys on the road

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs traveled on the road for a game against the McMullen County Cowboys Friday, Dec. 6.
The Mustangs had originally had a game against Basse (Legacy High School), but due to a coaching change Nixon-Smiley and McMullen County agreed to a game that Friday.
The Mustangs fell to the Cowboys, 54-41, dropping to 2-4 on the season.
Nixon-Smiley returned on the road for a game against the Pleasanton Eagles Tuesday, Dec. 10, and will go back on the road for its second tournament of the season in Moulton Thursday, Dec. 12.
The Mustangs return home Thursday, Dec. 19 for a game against the La Vernia Bears.
The La Vernia game tips off at 6:30 p.m.
