Mustangs fall to Northern Oaks in season finale

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs celebrates the parents of the 2024 baseball team. The team consists of Zechariah Munoz (4), Davian Ramos (5), Timothy McGlothine (6), Federico Vazquez (7), Jaydin Munoz (8), Julian Amaya (9) Oscar Gamez (10), Aiden Flores (11), Jose Juarez (13), Moises Pompa (14), Jose Ramos (15), Nehemiah Alvarez (17), Layne Stewart (19) and Cash Davis (20). The Mustangs baseball team were coached by Daniel Pierce.

STAFF REPORT

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs hosted their final regular season game against the Great Heart Northern Oak Griffins Friday, April 19.

The Mustangs fell to the Griffins, 20-2, to the close out district play with a 0-12 record; Nixon-Smiley recorded six hits and scored two runs in the final match.

The Mustangs finished the season with 2-15-2 overall record for their 2024.

Nixon-Smiley will return back onto the baseball diamond in Spring 2025.
