Nancy Karen Brummett

Nancy Karen Brummett (1947-2025), 78, of Gonzales, TX passed away on August 30th, in Humble, TX surrounded by her family. She was born to Walter and Mildred McElroy in Fort Worth, TX in January of 1947 who then moved to Houston, TX where she grew up. Through her long life she was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Karen's greatest joy was her family, friends, and dogs (Sassy and Cookie).

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bud. She was married to Maurice "Bud" Brummett for 34 lovely years. Bud preceded her in death at home in Gonzales, TX on July 29, 2023.  A mother of two children that changed her life forever, a grandmother to four, and a great grandmother to two. Karen’s kitchen was the gathering place for every Thanksgiving Celebration filled with love and laughter, where her family and friends were always invited!

Karen is survived by her children David Stokes and wife, Cellina of Humble, TX; Jenna Findley and husband, Randy of Lago Vista, TX; son by marriage and heart - Daniel Brummet and wife, Trish of Corpus Christi and their families. Grandchildren Chelsea and husband Kyle, Brooke and husband Michael, Jessica, Jacelyn. Great grandchildren Andelyn, and Arabella.  All who will never forget the love she brought into their lives.
