She came to the U.S. with a group of nurses to work in Norman, Oklahoma.  There she met her love, German Gonzalez who was attending college to become a chemical engineer. They married on 6/6/1958, and moved to Crane, TX, in 1967.  She worked as an RN in McCamey for 2 years before she started her position at Odessa at Women’s & Children’s Hospital, where she worked for 28 years. After retirement she lived at Chimney Rock Ranch in Edwards County, then in Uvalde, and Del Rio.  She moved to Gonzales in 2016 with her daughter, until her diagnoses of Alzheimer’s Disease had progressed, requiring placement at The Heights, where she eventually passed. Nina was the most loving and kind, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always ready to help those around her.  She was sweet, always smiling, and pleasant to her last breath.
