The City of Nixon has canceled all holiday activities and closed City Hall and other city offices, citing an increase in cases of COVID-19.
“All City of Nixon Sponsored Events Are CANCELLED Effective 11/19/20,” a post on the city’s Facebook page reads. “Due to the rapid onset of COVID-19, again City Hall and related City Offices are closed until further notice. Utility payments are due on the regularly scheduled due dates, as normal, we are checking the payment box daily. If paying with a credit card, please make other arrangements as office personnel will not be available to accept your payment i.e. pay by check or money order.”
