Paul Donivel Leazer, 71, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on April 26 at Gonzales Memorial Hospital in Gonzales, Texas.

Memorial services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on April 30 at 11 a.m. at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Lowery officiating. No other services are scheduled.

Paul was born on Dec. 9, 1947 in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Dan Donivel and Jalene (Nethery) Leazer. Paul and Carolyn Dubose were married on Aug. 8, 1969 at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Gonzales, Texas. Paul was the owner/operator of City Appliance in Gonzales for many years. He was a gun collector who liked to go target shooting. In his younger years, he liked to go hunting with his son, Matt. He liked working on cars, and drag racing. Paul loved his family, and his dogs.

Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn of the home, one son; Matt Leazer and his wife, Kelly of Dallas, Texas, two brothers; Wayne Leazer of Gonzales, Texas, Darrell Leazer and his wife, Cindy of Gonzales, Texas, one sister; Mozelle Boyd of Gonzales, Texas, one granddaughter; Austen Leazer, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special sister-in-law; Connie Dubose of Gonzales, Teas. He was preceded in death by his parents; Dan and Jalene Leazer, two brothers; Vernon Leazer, and Garry Leazer.
