Robert Luna Jr.

Robert Luna Jr., loving son, brother, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in Colonial Nursing Home of Schulenburg at 48 years of age.

He was born Aug. 14, 1964, in Gonzales. He spent his childhood and most of his teenage years growing up in Austin. He later became a resident of Waelder from 1982-2012.

Preceding him in death are father Robert Luna Sr. of Waelder, maternal grandparents Juantia Reyes and Gustavo Gallegos of Austin, and paternal grandparents Joe and Bruna Luna of Waelder.

He is survived by his mother, Toni Mujica of Pflugerville, sister and brother-in-law Linda M. and Brian Lucas of Manor, daughter and significant other Candice Ramirez and Matthew Schilhab of Waelder, son and daughter-in-law Adrian Ramirez and Valerie Perez-Ramirez of Houston, daughter and son-in-law Miranda and Juan Rodriguez of Schulenburg, and son and significant other Robert J. Reyes III and Jessica Medcalf of Schulenburg. Also surviving are grandchildren Steven Ewing, Savannah Ewing and Huriel Zamora Jr., all of Waelder; Joseph Quijas, Nathan Quijas, Adrian L. Ramirez and Audrina Ramirez, all of Houston; and Tamirah Fields, Sienna Rodriguez and Jayden Rodriguez, all of Schulenburg.

Visitation and Rosary were held Sunday, Sept. 9, at Peel & Son Funeral Home of Austin. Funeral Mass was held Monday, Sept, 10, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Pflugerville. Burial soon followed.
