Rosemary Riojas Almaguer, 63, of Yoakum, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. She was born March 14,1958 in Gonzales the daughter of Inocencio and Virginia Morales Riojas. She was a homemaker. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo especially at Come and Take It and Thursdays in Yoakum. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. She enjoyed going out with friends and family and treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Rosemarie Garza, Emily Torres and husband Roberto and Lynette Almaguer all of Yoakum and Cynthia Rios and husband Mario of Gonzales; sons: Paul Garza, Manuel Garza and Joe Graza all of Yoakum and Jonathan Almaguer of Gonzales; sisters Janie Rodriguez, Mary Cantu, Hilaria Zamora and Rafela Selpuveda all of Gonzales; brother Fabian”Sarge” Riojas of Gonzales. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Annie Navejar, Sandra Flores, Hope Ceja and Delia Zamora, brothers Frank Riojas, Fred Riojas, Ben Riojas, David Riojas and Frank “Pancho” Riojas.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2021. Funeral service will begin at 2p.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Frankie Riojas officiating.
