Rosita “Rosie” Villareal

Rosita “Rosie” Villareal, died May 29, with her family by her side. A rosary and memorial service will be held June 6, at Saint James Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas. 

Rosita was born Feb. 17, 1965, to Louisa Rios and Paul Villareal in Gonzales. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and a shining light of love, hope and happiness to all of those who were blessed to know her.

A believer in Jesus Christ, Rosita lived her life following the Word of God. She was a member of the A.C.T.S. retreat group and loved her sisters in Christ. She was a volunteer at the Catholic Community of Gonzales and Waelder.

Rosita ascended to heaven May 29, where she joined her beloved mother, father, sister Connie, sister Mary Jane, brother Paul, brother Ruben, brother Rodney and grandson Darius. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Rosiland Almaguer; son-in-law Rene Almaguer; grandson Donovan Lerma; grandsons Avery, Avram, Caleb and Royce Almaguer; great grandson Donovan Lerma Jr; sisters Mary Lou Gonzalez (Abel) of Marble Falls, Ruth Guerra (Arnold) of Gonzales, Molly Gonzales of San Marcos and Anna Villareal of Fort Worth; brothers Edward (Carol) of Moulton, Richard (Maria) of Gonzales, Rudy (Ester) of Gonzales and Robert Villareal (Tina) of Austin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other living relatives and friends.
