Ruben Ontiveros

Ruben Ontiveros, age 54, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Friday, April 2. Ruben was born Oct. 6, 1966 in Santa Cruz, Matehuala, SLP, MEX to Nicolasa Cardenas and Blas Ontiveros.

Ruben is survived by his wife, Delfina Ontiveros; son, Christian Ontiveros of Gonzales, Texas; and son, Christopher Ontiveros of Gonzales, Texas; brothers, Armando Gallegos of Gonzales, Texas, Jorge Gallegos of Gonzales, Texas, Arturo Gallegos of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Juana Matmoros of Gonzales, Texas, Irma Ontiveros of Mexico, Florentina Blanco of Gonzales, Texas, Maria Cruz of Mexico and Maria de Socorro of Mexico. Mr. Ontiveros also leaves behind one Grandchild to cherish his memory.

Mr. Ontiveros was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.

A visitation for Ruben was held Wednesday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Buffington Funeral Home, Gonzales, TX. A rosary will be said for Mr. Ontiveros on Wednesday evening, April 7, at 7 p.m., Buffington Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Alfonso Moreno led the rosary. A Funeral Mass will be said Thursday morning, April 8, at 10 a.m. by Father Jason Martini. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery, at Seydler and St. Andrew St., Gonzales, Texas.
